What the mark actually tested
Commissioning, a set of clusters (on/off, level, lock, thermostat, and so on), and a firmware path. It did not test whether the vendor’s extra motion zones are good, or whether support will exist in 2029.

- Find the Matter product ID / device type, not the lifestyle photo
- Prefer Thread for battery and always-on lighting
- Assume cameras, robots, and bridges are only as good as the leftover vendor features
Questions we get
Does Matter certified mean it works with Apple, Google, and Alexa?
For the certified clusters, usually yes. A certified plug should toggle everywhere. A certified camera or a bridge with a custom cluster may not. Certification is a test report, not a personality transplant for the vendor app.
